The red city of Marrakesh is a must when visiting Morocco. It was recently classified in top 10 Travelers Choice Destinations for 2019. It is a city that offers a great mix of cultures that is unique to Morocco. Marrakesh is known for its markets and bazaar in the Medina (old city), which makes it a great destination for any type of traveler. On top of the Medina, Marrakesh has so much more to offer tourists.

Here are some of the top things to experience while in Marrakesh:

1- Jemaa El Fna Square:

This world famous square is definitely a sight to see and experience. It is famous for its street food and out of this world fresh Orange Juice. Take a stroll while sipping on the freshest orange juice and enjoy the many different street shows such as Snake Charmers, Gnawa Musicians and Story Tellers. 2- Majorelle Gardens:

3- Historic Landmarks:  

While enjoying the many different cultural aspects of Marrakesh, one should not forget to take a little time to discover some historic landmarks that are open to the public, such as the Bahia Palace, El Badii Palace and Dar Si Said Palace. 


4- Experience a night or two in a beautiful Riad:

A Riad is a typical Moroccan guest house or a palace with rooms usually surrounding an interior courtyard or garden. Most of the traditional Riads are within the old Medina. While exploring the streets you will come across few Riads. From the outside it looks pretty normal, but once you open the door you will find yourself in a whole different world.

Traveling to and from Marrakesh is pretty easy and can be done by plane, trains and buses. There is an international airport and the roads are perfect since Morocco has done a lot of work recently to improve the infrastructure.
