If you visit Marrakesh during your stay in Morocco, you will have the time to discover some attractions in the area, such as Agafay Desert and Ourika Valley which can be done as a day trip.
Recently we had the chance to organize a day trip to Ourika Valley which is located just about an hour from Marrakesh. It was most definitely one of the best decisions we have made. It is an experience that will stay with you after you leave Morocco, or for locals after you leave Marrakesh. This is a short blog we did just to share some of the stunning views and introduce you to this amazing place.
Ourika Valley is in the High Atlas outside Marrakesh and is definitely a beautiful place to enjoy a nice hike and eat the best Tagine in the local restaurants by the river. It is very popular due to its many Waterfalls and the traditional life style of the Berber inhabitants in the area.
